Hi, I'm Idan Gilboa, but online I go by w0x7y.
I started programming at 12, when we learned Python at school. I didn't really like it at first, but then I tried web dev and really, and I mean REALLY, got into it. I don't know why, but I loved writing HTML and CSS (I know, crazy), and it made me want to keep learning. Around then I also picked up JS, TS and, a bit later, Java, which I liked a lot.
When we finished Python at school, we moved on to C#. By then I was already pretty good at solving problems, since that's around when I started doing LeetCode for fun so it made school go by really easily. I also started training combat sports (Muay Thai, BJJ and MMA) and haven't stopped since.
Over the next couple of years I learned more languages: SQL (with PostgreSQL and SQLite), Revo and C, plus React and tools like Tailwind and Expo. Right now I'm learning C++, Rust and Go, and ngl, it's going pretty well so far.
That's about it... oh wait, I also build and sell websites as a side hustle, and it's going strong.
I've been on Linux (Arch btw) for the past year or so, which is also where I learned Bash. I code in Neovim (my config), use Maple Mono NF for almost everything, and my theme is of course Rime (the best theme on the market, no cope fr fr).
I feel like this is too short, but you'll have to live with it (I'm not a poet). So yeah, have a nice day ;)
